The reason I have decided to do this is that within the web space there is so much competition and changing markets that I don't want to put my soul into one product just to see it become someone elses feature. Many a startup has ended that way. Also I think that if you have the right strategic plan then you can drop 10 web apps on the market and grow each one.

I beleive in the dutch say as it is true, so I am focusing on web technologies and products. That is one thing.

I would suggest you start with the least financial intensive project and move on from there.

Hi Menno,

I unfortunately don't have any figures on the South African market, but what I can tell you is that in the global ranking for entrepreneurship South Africa is way down the list especially in the technology sector. For every 1000 web startups in the US and Europe and Asia there is 1 in South Africa.

Hi Kivan,

I like your 'egg approach' and i will take it as an advise.. in some profile i wrote about myself..

"Full of ideas. But all too different to combine in one project.. Inspiration, communication, innovation, public relations, social communities, merchandizing and ambition.. Main question.. What to do first?"

Following your advise means that i don't need to choose but just start all.. And in a way i am already. But there needs to be some focus too. There is some dutch saying that says 'better do one thing good, than many things only half'. Thats true as well..

And.. some off my ideas need investments in hard cash, money that i don't have. So a good start would also be starting with a project that doesn't cost to much effort but will lead to means that you can reinvest in the other ideas.

This blog is simply smashing. In my humble opinion of course. As this post is rather debatable I don't think all your blog visitors are going to agree with it.
